Most of my projects have been cards, so I figured it was time to spice things up a bit.

I hope you love the project today! To get started, I grabbed a 6x6 piece of patterned paper and applied some opaque white gesso to the lower two thirds. This provides a waterproof surface to work on and allows me to build up color and texture on top of the paper, rather than having the mediums bleed and soak into the paper. Next, I used some texture paste and the May Stencil of the Month to add some awesome dimensional texture to the lower two thirds.

Once this was dry, I blended on a little Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to the edge where it met the paper - I feel like this give it a little more interest and depth. I blotted up the excess and let it dry.

I used the Square Alphabet Dies to cut out the word 'brothers' in black and green card stock. I paired the green letters with the black squares to make the word pop against the black. I layered these over my image. I covered up my image so it wouldn't get messy and did some splattering with the Calla Lily Aqua Pigment.

I love this shimmery color! I added a few little embellishments I had on hand and tucked in some coordinating thread for a little more interest. That finished off my layout and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. Mixed media and layouts really aren't too different from what we do on our cards - you should definitely give it a try sometime if you haven't already!

Missy here with a new layout using the July Hip Kits. I wanted to scrap a soft colored page featuring some of the blue elements in the kits. I started with one of the watercolored Pinkfresh Studio papers. I tore a chunk of it and attached it to a sheet of white cardstock. I did lots of fussy cutting here. I wanted to have bits and pieces cascading vertically down the torn edge, so I cut some flowers, circles and shapes from various papers.

Some of the flowers I popped off the page using adhesive foam. I used a few Pocket Life cards as layers behind the photo and added foam under that as well. Here you can see some splatters. I created this orange color by mixing the yellow and pink spray together. I went short and simple with my title. Overlapping flowers is one of my favorite things to do. I love the variety here, and by just gluing down the centers the petals are easily bent up for dimension. I love the effect of using a few different shades of blue.

I always recommend purchasing the Color Kit each month if you love mixed media because the previous colors are almost always going to match newer kits! I love how this rub-on turned out on the background. It went on very smoothly and the way it looks over the mixed media is so neat.

I punched this piece from a Pocket Life card. I added some foam under it to raise it up.

Timeless – Mixed media Layout by Tina Ollett

I love how it stands out against the blue ink. Have you fussy cut anything from any of the papers in your kit yet? Flowers are always a winner when it comes to making your own embellishments like this. Be sure to be on the look out for my process video of this layout coming later today!

In many episodes fans have noticed a "Reserved" sign on the main table of the area. This is also sometimes on the side table on the left of screen.

When Joey starts working at Central Perk, Rachel mentions that she would sneeze on the food of any customers who were rude to her. However, she does try for other job opportunities in fashion mostly during Season 1with little success.

In Season 3she decides to pursue the fashion business again after Gunther assigns her to re-training, quitting her waitressing job to work with Fortunata Fashions, then moving on to Bloomingdale's. Joey becomes a waiter at the coffee shop half-way through Season 6. His acting career being at a standstill, Joey is tight on money, so much that he can't afford paying for coffee. Gunther decides to let him work there. Like Rachel, Joey shows ineptitude at the job.

Unlike Rachel, however, this is mostly due to his immaturity coinciding with the house's policies. This makes him quit his waitering job, which he does without mentioning anything to Gunther. Phoebe Buffay was also a regular fixture in Central Perk, and played songs such as Smelly Cat to often bemused audiences. Phoebe was, at one point, replaced by Stephanie Schiffera professional who was hired by Terry. Phoebe's former singing partner Leslie also performed there at least once. Throughout the coffee shop are small tables with chairs that extras on the show usually occupy.

These, from the main camera angle, are behind the large orange sofa in the middle of the shop. The green chair on the right, the coffee table and the table and chair on the left are nearly always used as the main setting for any scenes in Central Perk. In the earlier episodes, irrespective of how busy the coffee shop became, those seats were always available.

The writers turned this into a joke and, in the first episode of season threethe six main characters arrive in the shop to find their seats taken, apparently by Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, the show's creators and the writers of Season Three. They then look at each other, dejected, and walk out. First Way 1 Primer Manera 1. I selected the Down by the Sea Seahorse as my base paper.

It looks simple and clean. Seleccione el papel Seashore como mi base. Este se ve simple y limpio. Then I added color around all the design with Pentart Delicate Metallic and blue creamy acrylic paints. Finally, I added white and blue paint splatters.

This time around I decided to do something a little grungy and masculine. The project features a photo of my husband who much prefers not to be the center of any of my projects, but here he is. I hope you like it. I adore the collection Old School and every now and then I take a sheet of it out to see what I can be inspired by.

I love the grunginess of this paper and thought that something a little seaside would work well. I turned my background page around giving it a completely different look. I find that turning the paper makes the difference in how you would sometimes use it.

Create your nursery in 3D

And it was so for this. I attached the photo and matting and then added in some textures using a slate paste mixed with Texture Sand. I think went to work trying to replicate the rocks on the shoreline where my husband is standing.

I applied this very thickly and allowed it to dry. I painted it randomly using Black Onyx Liquid Pearls to help keep it a little shiny. I then brushed over it with Frank Garcias Artisan Powders.

The archival boards were dressed in acrylic paints in the shades of Rainy Day and Cool Grey. Highlights were made on the Archival Boards using Black Soot distress inks.

I went to work on cutting the Archival Boards in halves and finding where they sat well on my project. I love the look of layers and I tried to achieve this by adding in some more textures using some distressed cheesecloth. This also created more movement on the page. I added in an extra laser cut clock I found from the Vintage Remnants Laser cut pack 2. I also added in a few shells and a couple of flowers that were colored with the Artisan Powders. All you need is a beautiful photo with not much detail in the background, your most favorite 49 and Market papers, some colors and wonderful 49 and Market embellishments flowers, layered elements, wishing bubbles….

I selected my favorite paper High School from Old School paper collection and protected it with clear gesso. I wanted to keep the paper design but add a touch of color matching with the shades on the photo, so I used Distress Oxides to kind of extend the horizon in the image.

This part was a lot of fun and I also added the same colors of the flowers I wanted to use in the composition. There was a carboard rocket in the photo and I thought it would be fun to create one using another paper form the collection School Days. I placed chipboards pieces underneath to add dimension and started building the composition with some beautiful flowers salmon Enchanted Petals and butterscotch Sugar Petals and Layered Embellishments Wander.

I used some stamps Wander Stamp Set and Captured Adventures Stamp Set 1 and I was very gentle when doing it because I really wanted the images to seem to be part of the original paper design. I added some Wishing Bubbles and nuance the flowers with white gesso.

And to finish my project, I took a piece of the brand band of one of the papers with words Friends Forever and placed it beside the photo. You can watch the full process on 49 and Market YouTube channel. Next post: Discover by Rachelle Sigurdson.
